Enhancing Resilience in a Changing Climate

Climate Change Research in Canada's North

The effects of climate change are becoming evident in Northern Canada. Communities are faced with challenges such as coastal erosion, sea-ice cover decline, infrastructure stability, sea-level rise, water supply issues, and increases in the frequency and severity of storm events. Research activities help Canada’s North to adapt by providing knowledge and working with partnerships to transfer the knowledge to decision-makers, enabling them to assess and manage the risks and opportunities associated with climate change.
