Innovation, knowledge transfer, and capacity building will be required in order to maintain the resiliency of Canadian human settlements to climate change and implement effective adaptation actions. Earth Science Sector information enables the identification and characterization of vulnerabilities and adaptation options by practitioners in communities and regions. It involves place-based research in regions and communities on the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, in the Arctic, and in southern Ontario.
